Our Parish
Since our founding in 1916, Sacred Heart School has evolved from a local Catholic school of Sacred Heart Parish in Roslindale into a neighborhood school with a multicultural and ecumenical student body. Over the past twenty years we have expanded our programs to include before- and after- school program, as well as pre-K, KI, and KII grades. In the tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph, we offer a welcoming environment that celebrates diversity. Our enriching educational environment prepares students to live and work with peoples of all ethnic and racial backgrounds.
The Strength of the Catholic school experience is our “social capital.” By this I refer to the parents, faculty, parish members, clergy, religious women and alumni of Sacred Heart. We surround our students with direction and encouragement. We expect our young people to succeed in life by developing into faithful and educated citizens. We expect our students to make a difference in this world. We expect our students to grow in “wisdom, age, and grace” before God and all of us who support them.
