8-24-2020 Opening Day changed to Monday, September 14

I am hoping this announcement finds you and your family healthy and safe.  As you are aware, we are all traveling uncharted waters.  Each day official guidance is changed or updated.  As I stated before, our number one and only priority is the health, safety and well-being of you, your scholars, faculty and staff.  With this in mind, we are pushing back opening by two school days to Monday, September 14th, which will be a full day.  I have made this decision based on the fact that some of the protective equipment has still not arrived, and I will not open until all safety procedures have been met.  I have been guaranteed by the vendors that all equipment will arrive no later than the 10th of September.

I hope this does not cause any inconvenience, but I really must err on the side of caution.  Please note that all Zoom meetings will still take place tomorrow at the scheduled time.  I thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation concerning this matter.  Stay healthy.

Many Blessings,

8-20-20 Day School Re-Opening Plan and Health Assessment Form
08-05-20 We are planning to open live, 5 days a week in September.

Dear Families of Sacred Heart STEM School scholars,

Link to the Fall Reopening & Academic Plan (posted July 15, 2020)

First of all, I hope that you are well. Your families are always in my thoughts and prayers as we continue to learn to live in this new normal. At this time, I would like to share with you the first draft of our re-entry plans. These plans are in two parts, one is the safety and hygiene/facility plan and the other is the academic plan for three ways of delivering instruction. Please note, this initial plan is in outline form because it will change over the next 4-6 weeks. I have included the preschool in this plan; however, the EEC has not yet issued their final guidelines. The attached plans are meant to give you an idea of the safety protocols, as well as the academic ones, that we plan to put into place in September. These are not complete. I am sharing these with you to assure you that the entire Sacred Heart STEM School team are working with governmental agencies to implement the highest standards of health, safety, and academics.

I have been informed that over the next coming weeks updated protocols and guidance for elementary and preschool will be forthcoming. As they do, I will update our plans and communicate them to you.

In August, I will be sending out a parent survey to support school reopening planning and scheduling.
If you have any questions, please email Monica Haldiman or Kathleen Cody

Or call Karen Cavanaugh @ 617-323-2500.

We are hoping that we can all reunite in the Fall safely. Please be assured, that no matter what model of instruction we have to utilize, your scholar will not fall behind or have a gap in their education.

Many Blessings,

Mrs. Haldiman
